All acceptable photos will be displayed during the fall SCSPA Conference.
Judging: Photos will be judged on composition, originality and effectiveness.
Photos are to be taken between August 20, 2013 and September 21, 2013.
THEME: Photos must revole around the theme ANTIQUES! For photos to be considered, they must have an object or object that display the theme (examples: old homes, furniture, clothing, objects, buildings, etc.).
The photographer must be a current member of a S.C. scholastic publication
staff or a student member of SCSPA.
Each participant may enter one (1) photograph in the contest.
All photos must be in digital format, submitted via publication adviser’s email account only to [email protected] or [email protected] with the subject line reading “SCSPA Photo Contest.” (Sorry, no paper photos).
Submission from an adviser constitutes declaration by the student and adviser that the photograph is the student photographer’s original work.
Each photo entry needs to contain the following information in the adviser’s email message:
• Photographer’s name
• Photographer’s grade level, school and name of publication
• Title of photograph
• Location where photo taken
Photos will be judged on the following criteria: composition, originality, and effectiveness.
Photos become the property of the South Carolina Scholastic Press Association and they reserve the right to use all photographs in their publications, on their website, and for association promotion purposes (with credit line given). Participants should keep a copy of the digital file of their photo.
Entries must be received by Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the email address given in #5. All participants will be notified via reply email that their photo file was delivered.
Winners will be recognized through a posting on the SCSPA website and at the fall conference.
