Carolina Journalism Institute
The Carolina Journalism Institute is a five-day summer institute held in June that equips high school students with the latest multimedia journalism skills, industry standards and hands-on experience to strengthen their publications and productions.
In this residential camp, you’ll stay in a dorm on campus and take classes at the state-of-the-art School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Meals and social activities with other campers are included. For more information, email us: [email protected].

Schedule:
Educational sessions run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. with a lunch break. After class, scholars have the chance to interact with each other in a variety of fun-filled afternoon activities. Friends and family are invited to final presentations Friday afternoon.

11:45-12:45 a.m. Lunch
1-3:15 p.m. Instructional module
3:15-4:30 p.m. Recreational activities (sports, trivia, campus bookstore visit, etc.)
5:30 p.m. Dinner
7 p.m. Evening activities (bowling, movie night, putt-putt, etc.)
10 p.m. Room check
10:30 p.m. Lights out
