CJI 2025 Week 1 Staff
Lily Driessen is a rising 7th grader at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School who likes to read mystery novels. Lily moved from Alexandria, Virginia, to Irmo when she was 2 and then moved to Lexington. She’s interested in acting, playing and listening to music and boxing. Lily would like to later in her life become a journalist or photographer.
Ava Jacobs is a rising 7th grader. She goes to Heathwood Hall Episcopal School. She was born in Greenville but moved to Elgin when she was young. Ava does competitive cheerleading for Twisters. She started when she was 10. Ava wants to be a cardiologist and wants to study at Harvard Medical School.
Daniel Mckelvey Jr. is a rising 6th grader at East Point Charter School. Daniel has moved back to Hopkins after previously living near Columbia. In his free time Daniel enjoys spending time with family, riding his dirt bike, playing sports like football and basketball, and content creation. Daniel aspires to play in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers, and reach his goal of 20 million subscribers on his YouTube Channel.
Khloe McKinney is a rising 9th grader at Camden High School. She takes interest in soccer, singing and acting. She’s from Navarre, Florida, and now she lives in Camden, South Carolina. She wants to be an anesthesiologist, cardiologist or a marine biologist.
Michael Siddaway is a 10-year-old and is going into 6th grade at Beachwood Middle School. He is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Michael’s favorite thing about Pennsylvania is that he was close to his family. Michael likes that his school is more modern than most schools. One of Michael’s favorite hobbies is soccer. His favorite thing about soccer is that when you lose it is only by a little bit, but when you win you win barely. Another one of Michael’s hobbies is creative drawing. Michael wants to become an Endodontist because his mom is a one, which he finds cool.
