Registration for SIPA 2025

SIPA Advisers,

You and your staffs are invited to the 2025 SIPA Convention in Columbia, South Carolina, March 7-9! Join us at the Marriott Columbia and the University of South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communications for a weekend of learning and celebrating scholastic media in the Southeast. This year’s theme is Southern Storytelling!

Early-bird pricing before January 15:

Student & adviser registration: $80

Chaperone registration: $50

Hotel Reservations:

All hotel reservations must be made directly with the Marriott Columbia. The cost for rooms is $165 per room per night + 12% tax & 2.14% fee. The Marriott contact is Erika Leon. Her email address is on the hotel reservation form, which must be downloaded, filled out and submitted directly to the Marriott to reserve rooms.

Student Scholarships

Do you have a student interested in attending who will be unable to participate without financial assistance? We will be able to cover the cost of a few registration fees this year. Please have students complete the scholarship application by December 1. We will notify students of their decision no later than December 15.

Registration

You are able to register online and have the option to pay via invoice or credit/debit card. We have updated and streamlined the registration system this year. Please reach out if you have any questions about the process.
