Podcasting is one of the most rapidly growing communication platforms in America today. This workshop is designed to teach you the fundamentals of audio production for a listening audience (including field gathering, voice recording & non-linear audio editing). Note: If you have a laptop, please bring it to the workshop so you can download the software. We will be using Audacity to edit practice projects.

Veteran investigative reporter and SJMC instructor Brandon Shulleeta will share tips for finding and breaking big stories. His reporting has uncovered secret lobbying by the Catholic Church to block lawsuits from victims of child molestation; incompetency from Tropical Smoothie that led to a hepatitis breakout; and a Social Security administrative law judge who routinely denied benefits to disabled people while refusing testimony from their physicians.
