Students attending the Gamecock Swim Camps not only have a chance to learn from professional college coaches and former South Carolina swimmers, but also to fully experience life as a student-athlete. They experience the residential aspect of campus life, staying in the dorms and interacting from athletes attending other sports clinics. They train in the Carolina Natatorium, USC’s recently renovated, state-of-the-art pool complex.
Swimming: A Technique-Based and Necessary Sport
Mirka, an adventures in vex robotics camper from Columbia, South Carolina, fixes her robot before the match. Although Mirka hasn't had an experience in robotics before this camp, she has used this opportunity to learn more about engineering. "I'm interested in engineering, so I thought it would be like a good camp to learn more about, I guess like the riots and how things can work."
